About
Nimbus Play started as a group chat between three friends who kept arguing about which tower defense game was worth the storage space. Eventually we decided to write it all down, and the arguments turned into a small editorial routine. We're not a big media company — just a handful of people who like strategy games and have strong feelings about enemy pathing.,Every game we cover gets real playtime before a single word is written. For strategy and tower defense titles that usually means at least a week of sessions, because the first hour almost never tells you whether a game respects your time. We take screenshots, scribble notes, and sometimes replay early levels once we understand the systems better.,We pick games based on what the team is genuinely curious about, plus reader suggestions and whatever is getting talked about. We avoid anything built around gambling, loot gambling disguised as gameplay, or predatory mechanics. If a game wastes your time or money, we say so plainly.,Nobody here gets paid by studios to be nice. The reviews are opinions, clearly marked as such, and we update them when a game changes significantly after an update.
Lukas Vogel — Lukas has been playing tower defense games since the Flash era and runs the editorial side of Nimbus Play. He's unreasonably attached to maze-building maps.
